The boys had a solid night against a good Benton Central and Covington Squad. With the loss of top athlete, Patrick Hennessey, we needed a number of athletes to step up and that is just what they did.
In both the Shot Put and the Discus events, Seeger boys took 2nd-4th places to set the pace. Led by Jaylen Young (Discus) and Josh Harris (Shot Put), the squad had some very good performances!
In the running events, the 4×800 started the night with a 2nd place showing (Kolton Pearson had the best split of the race in 2:18.8), followed by Duncan Clem demolishing the field in the 110m Hurdles with a time of 17.21 (wind-aided)! Braxton Bowlus followed in the 100m with a 3rd place showing against 2 very fast competitors in a time of 11.83 (wind-aided). The 4×100 team (Bowlus, Clem, Hunter Garrison and Tristan Bahrns took the win in a come-from behind finish! This was followed by a solid 3-4 finish in the 400m by Cody Smith and Kolton Pearson. Duncan Clem again blew away the field in the 300m Hurdles, running a PR and only 2 seconds off the school record with a time of 44.6! Braxton moved up to 2nd place in the 200m with a great time of 24.4 in a very tight field!
Cody Smith and Thomas Odle had a nice 1/3 finish in the 3200m run to finish out the scoring for the boys.
