Boys Varsity Cross Country · Boys win Bi-County to complete the sweep

Seeger High School 1st 26

The girls ran first and set the bar high for the boys race. The boys team knew what they needed to do if they wanted to win Bi-County. Fountain Central is a very strong opponent who have gotten to run in some large meets in Illinois, and a practice can’t compare to the experience of a big meet. The Patriots were rained out of their meet last weekend. Patrick Hennessey lead the Patriot charge finishing 2nd with a 17:39. Then Kolton Pearson, Cody Smith, and Nate Hennessey went 4-5-6 in 18:03, 18:35, and 18:47 respectively meaning that 4 Patriots earned All Bi-County Honors. Marcus Johnson finished off the scoring 5 with a 9th place finish in 20:02. The Top 7 runners are varsity, and the #6 for Seeger was Dominic Schanlaub with 20th place in 21:41 and #7 Carson Stonebraker with 21st place in 21:45. Having 4 runners in front of Fountain Central’s #3 and having our number 5 finish ahead of their 4-5 lead to a great victory for the Patriots to complete the Girl-Boy Bi-County Sweep.
