  Place Points
Benton Central High School 1st 83
Seeger High School 2nd 56
Covington High School 3rd 17

After 2 weeks of Spring Break, the girls showed guts in competition as they knocked off the cobwebs. The meet began with a nice 1-2 finish in High Jump by Kaleigh Pruitt and Regan Garriott, both producing efforts of 4′ 8″.

Over in the Discus ring, Kendal Knosp produced a nice effort of 80′ 9″, besting her PR from last year by 4 feet! Abby Clem also had a great throw in her first High School meet, having the 2nd best throw for Seeger on the day.

In the races, the 4×800 placed 2nd in a close match with a good Benton Central squad, followed by a great run in the 100 Hurdles by Regan Garriott (also placing 2nd). In the 1600, Libby Smith came in 2nd, running a near PR with a 6:01 performance! The first win came in the 400m dash with a very good performance by Kaileigh Pruitt (1:07.7). The 800m race was probably the closest race of the day, as Allison High and Jennifer Romero came in 2nd and 3rd, just behind a very good Covington runner. Libby Smith came in 2nd in the 3200, dropping her PR from last season by nearly 20 seconds with a time of 12:55.9!

In the final event of the night, the girls 4×400 edged out Benton Central’s team by a fraction of a second behind great efforts of Allison High (64.4), Kaileigh Pruitt (67.1), Jennifer Romero (70.2) and Isabelle Puterbaugh (74.6)!
