Seeger hosted the 3rd annual Hokum Karem Thursday August 17th. This is a special kind of race with runners in pairs alternating one mile runs until each runner has completed 3 miles. Eight teams from Fountain, Montgomery, and Parke county joined us for the meet. On the girls side, the team won and had 3 pairs of the top 6. Scout Puterbaugh and Allison High placed first overall and Hannah Collins and Meghan Beyer were 4th. Emma Nelson and Makaylie Ray rounded out the scoring in 6th overall. On the boys side, Seeger was second as a team to Fountain Central. Ben Warrick and Patrick Hennessey were the second pair and Nate Hennessey with partner Kyle Cheatwood were 4th. In the junior high race, Jennifer Romero was 1st overall and Leah Kirkpatrick was 3rd. In the boys race, Donte’ Taylor was 1st and Jeremiah Welch was 3rd. Overall, it was a great night for the Patriots. They prepare for the Fountain Central Grand Prix with 15 teams held on Saturday August 19th.
