The girls had an amazing night at Covington last night, showing the surrounding teams what they are truly made of! Although the team had some wins, it was the depth of the team that pushed them past the rest.
The girls went 1-2 in 4 different events, won 2 others, won 2 relays and went 2-3 in 3 other events!
Personal bests were attained by Isabelle Puterbaugh in the 100m (13.59), Paige Leonard (30.58) and Makayla Martin (30.91) in the 200m, Kaileigh Pruitt (1:04.34) in the 400m, Allison High (2:28.09) in the 800m Near PR’s by Jennifer Romero and Libby Smith as they went 1-2 in the 1600, and then near PR’s by Smith and Lauren McBride in the 3200m, as they went 1-2, as well!
Regan Garriott and Berlyn Guminski went 1-2 in the 100m Hurdles and Puterbaugh (PR of 52.62) and Garriott (SB of 54.37) finished 1-2 in the 300m Hurdles!
In the relays, the girls 4×100 took 1.5 seconds off their season best with a time of 57.42 seconds. The girls 4×400 relay led wire to wire over Fountain Central in a very tight race, with a huge 12 second Season Best of 4:25.3, narrowly missing the Bi-County Meet Record (4:24.5) set by another Seeger group in 2013! The girls 4×800 Relay won in a dominating fashion (over 30 seconds), also missing the Meet record by only 13 seconds!
In the field, Garriott and Pruitt went 2-3 in the High Jump, while Garriott and Puterbaugh went 2-3 in the Long Jump. Kendall Knosp placed 3rd in the Shot Put and 2nd in the Discus throw
