The girls Cross Country team tied Benton Central at the BC Sectionals on Saturday and scored the lowest team score that Seeger has EVER had at Sectionals! Unfortunately, the girls lost the tie-breaker and finished 2nd place out of 11 teams. They will have a chance to get their revenge this weekend at the BC Regionals, though!

The top 3 girls continued their dominance, as Jennifer Romero won the Sectional 5k race with a time of 19:28 in a very strong wind (20+ mph). Allison High and Libby Smith placed 3rd and 4th with times of 20:19 and 20:30!!

Freshman Nataleigh Yarborough and Avah Watson continued to see improvements, as both had phenomenal races! Nataleigh finished in 10th (21:26 – a 13 second PR) and Avah finished in 13th (21:49 – a 39 second PR)!

Rounding out the team was Leah Kirkpatrick in 27th (23:39) and Lauren McBride in 33rd (24:11 – a huge Season Best after having surgery on her foot in the summer)!

Come cheer them on this weekend at Benton Central for the Regional Meet, as they will be trying to advance the team to SemiState for the first time since 2014!!
